Spooky times are ahead...

It's almost Halloween, folks!  Wahoo!!

At work, they do an annual theme and everyone dresses accordingly.  They also go all-out with decorations in the same themed spirit and put out candy for the members - it's quite big fun!  Well, this year's theme is the 70s... which, to me, is kind of boring.  But, I can certainly see where it makes for a good group theme - and am glad to play along.  I didn't, however, want to be another disco queen or hippie... so, I am going to be the Bionic Woman - Lindsay Wagner style.  My hair isn't really long enough, but I'll roll it and see if I can make it resemble hers in some fashion.  I'm going to go to WalMart (UGH! - more on that in another post) and get a Dickie's work uniform, take some old PC parts to make my arm bionic, wear my red wedge sandals - et voila!!  I think it's going to be fun!  Oh - and I found the jumping sound and the theme intro online - now to figure out what I can have in my pocket to play these at will.  Any ideas?

Here's a pic of the version I'm hoping to mimic - cute, huh?:

I'm not sure that I want The Bionic Woman to be my costume for friend parties, though... so, I'll have to think on other options - or maybe I'll finally get the chance to make the Queen of Hearts costume I've talked about for years!!

Time is flying... and, I can't catch up.

So, forget that plan to post daily... I need to stop smacking my hand about it and just realize that that doesn't work for me.  I'll post when I have something to post... how's that?  I accept.  And, since I'm the only one reading this - then, I am going to stop fretting about it.  On to bigger and better things!

I've been soo very busy!  Getting ready for my folks to visit, having them here for a week, prepping to go to Jekyll for my friends' wedding, setting up the Junior League District meeting for Monday, and then... there's work AND trying to hire someone new for the System Support Associate position!  Sheesh!  I'm drowning here...

And, I returned from Jekyll to find this draft awaiting me...  I'm merely appending.  If anyone ever starts to read this - please let me know... maybe I'll up my style, change my plans, get a bit more formal with myself and my thoughts... or, maybe not.

Jekyll was WONDERFUL!!  It was a beautiful wedding, a blast of a reception, and I got to spend time lazing on the beach or at the big house with friends.  I even got a bit of a tan.  Wahoo!  The house was HUGE! and we had a pool.  A quick jaunt over the dunes and we were on the beach.  Who could ask for anything more?  Just like being at home, we stayed up too late each night - drank a bit too much each day - met a bunch of new folks who I hope to see again - and then, sadly, vacation was nearly over.  We took a leisurely time returning to Atlanta - driving through St. Simon's (I never did find the old hotel we'd stayed in back in the 70s - more on that later), playing in the water at St. Simon's and then stopping at Olympia Cafe in Savannah for dinner... it all sounded great at the time - and I certainly wanted to extend vacation as long as possible... BUT, getting up on Monday morning was painful!  :-)  I think I'm still sleepy... and, it's Thursday.  ;-)

Oh - and I wore the red Cole Haan shoes - and they were awesome!!  :-)
